So, I realize that the only real time I have on my computer is now, right before Art History.

It will probably remain that way until 17 December, when my finals are over and I can take a breather.  A much MUCH needed breather.  Our final for 2-D is due on the 12th, but I'm not even halfway done and it's very demanding.  I'm supposed to be about 80-90% done on Monday, for an in-progress critique.  Last minute touch-ups and the final 10% are supposed to be finished on Tuesday for the turn-in on Wednesday.  I'm going to try and finish it during my very busy weekend so that I don't have to do anything (except minor touch-ups) on Tuesday.  Good luck with that, though, right?  I have to work everyday this weekend, so I just have to make sure that I'm painting every minute that I'm not at work.  There is no time to goof off this weekend, that's for sure.

I went to Blick yesterday and got a couple new paints, because I was out of Cadmium Orange and Cadmium Red Medium.  Soft body acrylics should never exist.  I swear it.  This one chick who works at Blick still laughs with me every time I go in there, because she thinks that my professor should be horribly embarrassed of herself for telling us to get these.  Jamie was totally lost when we went there because she insists that she has not one artistic bone in her body.

I think she's lying.

Class is in progress, so I think that I'll wrap this up.  I'll let everyone know what's going on in the next couple of days.  I'm aiming for tonight, but no promises!

I thought I would post a quick survey just because I was bored...  I hope it's entertaining for you, since it wasn't for me.

THE SOUNDTRACK TO MY LIFE

Opening credits: "Aneurysm" by Nirvana (It's catchy for opening credits!)

Waking up: "Mexican Seafood" by Nirvana (Umm... question mark?)

Average day: "Attractive Today" by Motion City Soundtrack (I listen to this song on pretty much a daily basis, too.)

First date: "Fast As You Can" by Fiona Apple (LMFAO......... Oh my... If you don't know this song, look up the lyrics right now... do it.)

Falling in love: "English Summer Rain" by Placebo (Olivia is probably going to find this pretty funny...)

Fight scene: "Bombs Over Brooklyn" by Love Equals Death (It's a good beat for a fight scene.)

Breaking up: "The End Complete III: The End Complete" by Coheed and Cambria (I'm not making this up.)

Getting back together: "Son of a Gun" by Nirvana (That's kind of funny.)

Life's okay: "Effect and Cause" by The White Stripes (Yes, that's the name of the song, and I don't have it twisted around.)

Mental Breakdown: "Teeth the Size of Piano Keys" by Chiodos (Pretty mental breakdown sounding at the beginning, so I think it's appropriate.)

Driving: "Last Post on the Bugle" by The Libertines (I think it's pretty good driving music, without the lyrics especially!)

Flashback: "It Ain't Supposed To Be" by Exene Cervenka & the Original Sinners (I don't have any idea how this made it onto my computer, if I may be honest...)

Partying: "Black-Eyed" by Placebo (Not a very good party song...)

Happy dance:  "Music When the Lights Go Out" by The Libertines (WTF?)

Regretting: "Hangman" by Motion City Soundtrack (Okay, but no.)

Long night alone: "Together We'll Ring In the New Year" by Motion City Soundtrack (That's pretty good.)

Death scene: "By Starlight" by The Smashing Pumpkins (I like it a lot.)

The steamed rice at Panda is actually cooked right today.  It's not at all watered down, and it's actually sticky.  The orange chicken is also quite tasty, but I feel as though it could use a little more sauce.  I should have gotten some egg rolls...  I think I'll call Ten Yen and order some egg rolls on my way home from school so that I can eat the deliciousness at work.

Enough about my lunch adventures, and more about how I finally took the initiative to put together my art blog.  It's still under some construction, because I have to find a layout that I'm actually happy with and willing to stick to (like my rice and chicken).  But, other than using my deviantART journal, I'll post my lame excuses here.  Plus, I can make it look all fancy without having to subscribe to anything and pay money because I'm a cheap bastard.

That interesting kid is at Panda today...

ANYWAY!

I will try so hard to post something new by the end of the night.  I have plenty of WIP that I could post pictures of, I suppose.  That's posting something, right?  I'll figure it out.  You'll see something tonight!

Oh my Jesus and rice......... he's the only white (American) kid working at Panda...
